The Rodear is a gathering that celebrates the artistry, stories, and enduring spirit of the American West. Each summer in Bridgeport, California—where the valley meets the Sierra—artists, makers, poets, authors, and musicians come together to share their work and strengthen a growing creative community centered on women artists and makers.
Through the Sallie Knowles Joseph Scholarship, along with year-round outreach and programming, The Rodear provides mentorship and learning opportunities for women artists and makers working in the Western arts.
By joining the Friends of The Rodear, our yearly membership program, you help sustain this work and strengthen a community devoted to craftsmanship, mentorship, and Western fellowship.
The Rodear is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting women artists and makers in the Western arts. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Two Ways to Participate
Friends of The Rodear is a yearly membership program offering two ways to support the mission of The Rodear. Individuals and businesses can join the community supporting Western artists and makers.
Friends — Individual Giving
The Friends levels reflect the landscapes of the West—from the first step on the trail to the circle where community gathers.
Trail Friend — $100

Early access to Rodear tickets (April 16–30) *Public access begins May 1
Ranch Friend — $250

Memberships can be canceled at anytime. Membership benefits apply to the upcoming Rodear event in July. If you join after July 25, 2026, your benefits will apply to The Rodear 2027 event.
